We are pleased to continue our 2018 Lecture Series with the Comstock Foundation for History and Culture!

Thursday, June 7th lecture will be Jim Clark’s on: “Hollywood’s Go-To Man for Trains”

Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. and lecture starts at 7:00 p.m.

Lecture Description:
Trains in the Movies. 
A veteran of over 250 major movies over many decades, Jim Clark an engineer and train coordinator will give a short history of trains in the movies and explain the technical aspects of working with trains. His association with some of the biggest train films and stars in Hollywood include: “The Lone Ranger”, “Wild Wild West”, “Under Siege Two” “Fast and the Furious”, “Water for Elephants”, “Into the West”.  Coupled with Q&A plus film clips of two dozen action sequences will leave you breathless.

Bio of Lecturer:
Jim Clark
has over thirty years of railroad motion picture experience, knowledge, development, budget preparation, location scouting and compliance with Federal regulations.  He has provided operating crews, coordinated schedules, and has obtained track and railroad equipment as required.  Jim is a licensed locomotive engineer for both steam and diesel trains and is SAG / AFTRA certified.
