Lecture Series Continues – Thursday, June 20th with Robin Holabird’s “Elvis, Marilyn, and the Space Aliens” : Icons on Screen

We are pleased to continue the 2019 Lecture Series with the Comstock Foundation for History and Culture!

Dinner starts at 5:00 p.m. and lecture starts at 7:00 p.m.

Author, movie reviewer, and former film commissioner Robin Holabird provides a humorous overview of what audiences think about Nevada because of what they see on screen. Published in her book by the same name. The book will be available at the lecture.

BIO:  Robin Holabird wrote the book on Nevada movies and locations, “Elvis, Marilyn and the Space Aliens”. A former film commissioner for the State of Nevada, she also reviews movies for Reno’s National Public Radio affiliate, KUNR FM 88.7. As editor of the magazine “Locations” and a board member for the Association of Film Commissioners, International, she traveled the world extensively and continues that practice today with her husband Fred. She has transformed her travel adventures into a second book, Around the World in 80 Movies, due this year.

Lecture starts at 7:00 p.m. and costs $5 per person.
