Thursday, November 14th lecture will be Joe Curtis & Ron Gallagher (if health allows) on: “Comstock – Then and Now” – the finale!
Dinner starts at 4:30 p.m. and lecture starts at 7:00 p.m.
Joe and Ron are back by popular demand to continue their series capturing the Comstock as it has changed through time. This exciting lecture will give you a presentation and photos of the Comstock from the past and contrast them with current pictures of the same locations! The Ron and Joe Show will be featuring never before seen photos; contrasting the mining history of the Comstock with the more modern tourist-based Virginia City and surrounding area.
Including plenty of photos of an earlier period of VC history. Even though this is a stand alone presentation, Joe and Ron will have all new content so if you were present at previous lectures, you don’t want to miss the continuation!
Bio: Joe Curtis
Joe’s family moved to VC in 1958. They bought a building and opened a museum dedicated to the history of life on the Comstock. He grew up amidst the museum and became infatuated with the history of the Comstock and began collecting old photos of the area back in the day.
Bio: Ron Gallagher
Ron is a well know local aged artifact of the Comstock. Raised here, lots of relatives dating well into the lower 1800’s and a head full of Comstock knowledge, recollections. stories and other associated Comstock BS.
Lecture starts at 7:00 p.m. and costs $10 per person.
