We are pleased to continue our 2026 Lecture Series!

Thursday, September 18th lecture will be a Chautauqua performance by Kim Harris as “Lizzie Borden – guilty or innocent?”

Dinner starts at 4:30 p.m. and lecture starts at 7:00 p.m.

Description:

Perhaps one of the most notorious murders of the 19th Century was that of Andrew and Abby Borden. Andrew’s daughter Lizzie was tried and acquitted in a court of law for the axe murders of her father and stepmother in 1892, in Fall River, Massachusetts. The court of public opinion sentenced her to a life of public scrutiny and branded her a social pariah.

Lizzie A. Borden will share the story of her life in Fall River, her memories of the trial and how she learned to live in a world which had drastically changed for her, once she was acquitted of the murders
