Thursday, September 6th lecture will be James Bonar on: “History of the Virginia City Gold Hill Water Company”

Lecture Description:
In the 1860’s when the Comstock got it’s start, water on the Comstock was as precious as gold.
This lecture speaks to the early days and then the construction of the water system from Lake Marlette to Virginia City, still in use today.
This visual presentation and educational lecture explores the history of Comstock water and the development of this amazing gravity flow project.
Bio – James Bonar
James Bonar, a Nevada resident for over thirty years, his interest is to protect and teach the legacy of our history. He served as President of the Nevada Chapter of the LHA, Lincoln Highway, and then Nevada State Director.
