DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the 2023 Ghost Tour series at the Gold Hill Hotel!  \nThe Gold Hill Hotel (as seen on Ghost Adventures and proclaimed the 8th most haunted location in Nevada) is now offering Historical Ghost Tours.  These tours benefit The Comstock Foundation for History and Culture.  Hosted by the Northern Nevada Ghost Hunters (NNGH)\, your evening will start with a gourmet dinner in the Crown Point restaurant (one of the best restaurants on the Comstock). \nAfter dinner\, NNGH will guide you back in time with tales of the history and the hauntings of the hotel and the surrounding area\, known as Slippery Gulch. Using ghost hunting tools and techniques\, you can try to make contact with the spirits still in residence at the hotel. Please note that you will be touring some of the actual haunted rooms in the hotel as well! \nBefore the tour or during the intermission\, quench your thirst and calm your nerves with a drink in the 150 year old bar\, as frequented by Mark Twain back in the day!  This is sure to be an evening to remember. Major Bryan Staples with “Sand in a Whirlwind: History of The Paiute War of 1860”  \nWe are pleased to continue our 2023 Lecture Series!  This is a four part war history lecture series by VC’s own Sgt Major Staples!!! \nDinner starts at 4:30 p.m. and lecture starts at 7:00 p.m. \nSgt. Major Bryan Staples\, a retired military man\, formerly of the Department of the Pacific\, Federal Battalion\, operations consultant and longtime Civil War reenactor\, will present about the Paiute War of 1860 at the Gold Hill Hotel’s Lecture Series Event on May 18th. \nThis is a 4 part war history series concluding with the epic history of Captain Edward Storey. \n\nPart 1 – May 18th\nPart 2 – July 6th\nPart 3 – July 20th\nPart 4 Cpt. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the 2023 Ghost Tour series at the Gold Hill Hotel!  \nThe Gold Hill Hotel (as seen on Ghost Adventures and proclaimed the 8th most haunted location in Nevada) is now offering Historical Ghost Tours.  These tours benefit The Comstock Foundation for History and Culture.  Hosted by the Northern Nevada Ghost Hunters (NNGH)\, your evening will start with a gourmet dinner in the Crown Point restaurant (one of the best restaurants on the Comstock). \nAfter dinner\, NNGH will guide you back in time with tales of the history and the hauntings of the hotel and the surrounding area\, known as Slippery Gulch. Using ghost hunting tools and techniques\, you can try to make contact with the spirits still in residence at the hotel. Please note that you will be touring some of the actual haunted rooms in the hotel as well! \nBefore the tour or during the intermission\, quench your thirst and calm your nerves with a drink in the 150 year old bar\, as frequented by Mark Twain back in the day!  This is sure to be an evening to remember. Come join us! \nDinner and Tour – only $60.00 per person\, gratuity and transaction fees not included. \nTour 1 – Dinner is at 5:00 and the tour starts at 6:30 p.m.\nTour 2 – Dinner is at 6:30 and the tour starts at 8:00 p.m.\n \nDinner is a set menu of many of our favorite entrees we offer at the hotel! Two of his poems have been put to music offered on Cd’s\nby three different popular cowgirl singers in Arizona and Texas. \nIn Arizona Ron’s been featured twice at one of the largest cowboy\npoetry gatherings in the west\, the popular Cochise Cowboy\ngathering in Sierra Vista\, Arizona. His humorous stories and warmhearted\npoems of the range earned him the title\, “Gentleman\ncowboy poet”. His western humor centers around two Nevada\ncowboys\, Bucky\, and Nate\, who get into all kinds of trouble while\ntrying to do the right thing well\,\nmost of the time.\n \nLecture starts at 7:00 p.m. and costs $10 per person. \nCome early and enjoy dinner before the lecture!
