DESCRIPTION:This lecture is by James Clark\, one of the foremost experts in trains and motion pictures having worked for over thirty years in the movie business.  He has handled all aspects of movie film production from scouting locations\, equipment acquisition\, transportation\, to set dressing\, acting and driving trains in the movies.  He is a licensed locomotive engineer for both steam and diesel. Also\, SAG / AFTRA. Learn why the Chinese ended up in Nevada\, how and where they lived and more. Old newspaper articles have helped tell the story.  This is the fascinating story about one of Nevada’s earliest cultures at its best. \nLaura Tennant is a native of Silver City\, Nevada and was primarily educated in Nevada one-room schoolhouses. Laura served as manager-editor of the Dayton Courier-Fernley Leader newspaper for 18 years\, where she was also a reporter\, columnist and photographer.
