DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to continue our 2018 Lecture Series with the Comstock Foundation for History and Culture! \nThursday\, September 6th lecture will be James Bonar on:  “History of the Virginia City Gold Hill Water Company” \nDinner starts at 5:00 p.m. and lecture starts at 7:00 p.m. \nLecture Description:   \nIn the 1860’s when the Comstock got it’s start\, water on the Comstock was as precious as gold. \nThis lecture speaks to the early days and then the construction of the water system from Lake Marlette to Virginia City\, still in use today. \nThis visual presentation and educational lecture explores the history of Comstock water and the  development of this amazing gravity flow project. \nBio – James Bonar \nJames Bonar\, a Nevada resident for over thirty years\, his interest is to protect and teach the legacy of our history.
