DESCRIPTION:** We are so sorry!  This event is sold out tonight!! ** \n  \n  \n  \nDinner starts at 5:30 p.m. and lecture starts at 7:00 p.m. \nLecture Description:  \nThis NBC TV series “State Trooper”\, featured three episodes\, 22 minutes each\, on the Comstock taking place in Virginia City and Silver City.  During this lecture Scott will introduce the series\, give a little back round on the series\, and then we will actually watch the 3 episodes!  After that\, Scott will take questions from the audience. \n \n1. 1956 “Meeting at Julia’s” – About the “Comstock Lode Mine” payroll robbery of $40\,000.00 in Silver City. Great shots of the DeltaSaloon\, Bucket of Blood\, C Street and Badwater Bill and his Donkey. \n \n2. 1959 “The Silver Spiral” – Escaped mental patient kidnaps his nice from Piper’s Opera House. Great shots of Storey County Court House\, Visitors Center\, Territorial Enterprise with publishers Lucius Beebe and Charles Clegg playing themselves. The Virginia Garage\, Crown Point Mill and American Flat Mill. \n \n3. 1959 “The Trap that Jack Built” – Murder at the mill. Do you know what a “bear set” is?  You will!  Almost exclusively filmed at the Dayton Consolidated Mill in Silver City while still in pristine condition. Great shots of Virginia City and the 4th Ward School. \nSpeaker:\nScott Jolcover is Comstock Mining’s General Site Manager and the Director of Business Development. He has been working in Nevada mining for over 38 years\, including the last 22 with Comstock Mining Inc.\, and one of its predecessors\, The Plum Mining Co. LLC. Mr. Jolcover has extensive real estate transaction experience and worked as a licensed agent. He currently serves on the Board of Nevada Works and was formerly the Chairman of the Virginia City Tourism Commission in Storey County and is a member of the Northern Nevada Development Authority Construction and Design Committee. \nLecture starts at 7:00 p.m. and costs $5 per person. \nCome early and enjoy dinner before the lecture!
