GOLD HILL CELBRATES THE ARRIVAL OF THE V & T RAILROAD

The Gold Hill was a scant eight years old when a new sound came to the Comstock. It was the sound of a steam whistle on a brand new Virginia & Truckee locomotive.

You are cordially invited to a special celebration of the coming of the railroad on Sunday, April 17, beginning at 6:00 PM at the famous Gold Hill Hotel. Gentlemen and ladies are encouraged to come in period dress as you dine on a special dinner of the times, and listen to an actual steam locomotive railroad engineer talk about the life and times of the famous V&T R.R.R. for $10.99. You will also learn on how the first engine to arrive on the Comstock wasn’t called the V&T.

Make your reservations early by calling the Gold Hill Hotel at 847-0111, or e-mail info@goldhillhotel.com.
